Plantar fasciitis and heel pain
Pain under the heel with the first steps after rest can fit plantar fascia-related pain. A heel spur on an X-ray does not automatically explain the symptoms. Bone stress injury, nerve irritation and other causes must be considered when the pattern is atypical.
